from the battalion come to think of it. |

Hounslow Reunion 6 - 7 September 2003
The plans for when the First Battalion hosts the
Regimental Association in Hounslow on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th
September are going really well. We are now fully booked for
dinner in the Officers Mess on Saturday 6th September. There
is still room for anyone on the Sunday 7th when the Colonel of the
Regiment will take the Salute as we march past with the Branch
Standards, our affiliated TA, ACF, and CCF contingents and even our
Chelsea Pensioners. There will be a series of photographs
after the parade, as we might not be able to repeat this type of
event again for a long time , and we are keen to record it.
As a result of some comments I have recently
heard, I want to clarify that the All Ranks Dinner at Hounslow on
the evening of Saturday 6th September will be in the Officers
Mess. The First Battalion is laying on all the silver and
trimmings. Just because the event is being held in the
Officers' Mess, it is not just for Officers.
There will be many other ranks than Officers .... so we should have
a great evening !

Thanks to all those who
spent time and energy in organising the Hungerford reunion, I believe
Toby North was the main man. A great night was had by
everyone, myself I met upo with some great friends, it's been 20
years since we were last together. I have also been in contact
via email to others who could not make it on the night. It has
been a really pleasant experience. So thanks to those I knew
who were willing to reminisce about the old times, so many memories
and so many good tiomes. I can only say that if you weren't
there then you missed out, try and make it next year, you won't be
disappointed. Trust me....... |

and would like to get in touch with anyone who remembers the WATTS
Family. I would like to know where Keri Mullings (Pete
Mullings Daughter) Michael Wright (Jimmy Wrights Son) and Tony

On Thursday 19th June 2003 an act of dedication will take place at the National Arboretum in Staffordshire to commemorate those who lost their lives whilst serving in Northern Ireland over the period 1969 - 2001. It will be called ULSTER ASH GROVE. Thee will be a tree planted for each soldier who lost his life.
The reason for this communication is to ask if any body knows the whereabouts or contact details of the Next of Kin of Ptes PULLIN and RANDELL so RHQ can inform them of the above event. We do not have their details, if anybody can assist can you please contact John VENUS at Salisbury on 01722 414536 or E Mail
RHQ as a matter of urgency. Many thanks JOHN VENUS. |

Many names that come floating in are Dave Rose, Mick Haddow, the Finnegan brothers, Snowy Cox, Paddy Donovan, Mark Stevenson, 'Billy' Smart, the Guys in the Tech QM's, the Brigadier, Eric Windsor, etc.
Whatever became of Lt Col Coxon, a fine officer and quite a character..who else would

Well here's the news from Florida. Not much is going on here, still waiting on the old lady to make a choice on a wedding day and no there is still not a
date. ( Women) The weather here is warming up and not we are back into the
70's, now the great weather begins. Spring break has just started here with is when the colleges have a break for the spring. And let me tell you something from now till the middle of April this place is just full of good looking sexy bikini clad college
girls. (You just don't know what you have missed!!!!!) The weather will
stay in the 70's and 80's till about July and the it gets so hot it is just not funny. All those of you who were in Hong Kong will understand those
damn hot days and nights. Other than that work is the same day in and day out, the
only reason I put up with it is because it pay's good. I'm hoping that sometime this year
I'm going to try and get back to UK because I would like to see everyone it has been far to long.
Daz Christian hope everything there is ok you know what I mean and tell
Julie I said HI. Daz Coney you were always a lifer...Paul thought you were a lifer but you have surprised me, what was the real reason for getting out? Stacey your lazy ass needs to get on
here and sent a damn email. Well this is just a short note to let you know that
