Ex Duke's meet up at Sandhurst's Sovereign's Parade

Ex Dukes, Ron Simpson, Toby North Snr, Toby North Jnr and Mike Smith pose outside the famous guardroom at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst on the occasion of Prince Harry,s commissioning Sovereign,s Parade 12 April 2006. Both Ron and Toby are ex Sandhurst instructors so this was a big trip down memory lane for both.
Her Majesty the Queen escorted by the Duke of Edinburgh was the inspecting officer, looking very radiant in a light peach coloured outfit the Queen inspected all ranks before returning to the saluting dais to witness a first class parade. Price Charles and Camilla were also present. The Queen gave a congratulatory speech to all cadets being commissioned and welcomed them whole heartily into the British Army.
After the parade a trip around the academy ending with a drink or two in the Warrant Officers and Sergeants' mess and it was time to leave, over far to quickly but another great occasion for us all.
