2nd Lieutenant R G Mawle

He was a short Service officer who commanded 3 Platoon ‘A’ Company. He was the Commander of the Battalion Cambrian March Team when they achieved second place. Whilst serving in ‘A’ Company he captained the Company Orienteering team, winning the first Battalion Competition in Minden. His Command of his platoon ended in December 1969, and he was later Killed by a range accident in 1971 while serving as a contract officer in the Middle East.
