Colour Sergeant Joe Le Strange B.E.M.
He enlisted in March 1967 and served with the 1st
Battalion Duke of Edinburgh’s Royal Regiment until September 1988.
Whilst serving with the Battalion he was awarded the British Empire
Medal. He then transferred to the Long Service List and was serving with
the 4th Armoured Division and Signal Regiment as Sgts Mess
Caterer when he died.
He died on the 1st September 1989 at the early age of 41
